Thanks to this partnership, setting up the connection between OpenFlyers and HelloAsso is greatly simplified. Unlike traditional online payment terminals, there is no need to send connection keys to OpenFlyers. The manager of an organisation is completely autonomous when it comes to interfacing the two solutions.

It should be noted that the unique feature of HelloAsso's payment gateway is that there are no commissions or subscription fees for associations governed by the French law of 1901. This means that an aeroclub using HelloAsso can reduce its banking costs by between €500 and €5,000 per year, depending on the organisation's turnover.

It should be noted that there are two trade-offs that enable HelloAsso's business model to be viable:

• When users enter the amount they wish to pay into their account in OpenFlyers, they are redirected to an intermediate page specific to HelloAsso, where the latter offers to pay an additional amount in the form of a donation. The user is free to adjust the voluntary contribution upwards or downwards, or to choose not to leave a voluntary contribution. They are then redirected to the standard page to enter their credit card details.
• The amounts collected by HelloAsso are then transferred to the organisation's account within a period of approximately two weeks.

At OpenFlyers, we recommend the same settings as for other small businesses, namely, automatically recording the pilot's payment on a remittance account. This account represents the outstanding amounts that the organisation is owed by HelloAsso.
