Improvements to browser functionality now allow for a new date/time input field (timestamp) that is more suitable for both keyboards and touch screens. In addition, the display according to the organisation's time zone is now accompanied by a display in UTC.

The combo boxes that have been present since OpenFlyers was launched in 2002 will gradually be replaced in all forms. This is already the case for the activity/flight entry form. This optimises the speed of data entry on computers: it is much faster to enter values directly using the keyboard than to click with the mouse to open a drop-down menu and then scroll through the values using the mouse wheel to find the right one. Furthermore, with keyboard input, only the necessary elements need to be entered: there is no need to enter the slashes separating the day of the month or the month of the year.
For use on tablets/smartphones, a pictogram is visible to the right of the input field, allowing values to be selected via a specific display of elements in order to maintain input that is suitable for touch screens.
Also in the activity entry form, the improvement of the timestamp entry fields is accompanied by the implementation of a dual display:
- The entry fields must be filled in using the time zone defined by the organisation and indicated to the left of the field.
- Below the entry field, a new line appears indicating the corresponding timestamp in UTC.
